Learn More About the Superior Court Rules Committee
The Superior Court Rules Committee, which is appointed by the Chief Judge, includes judges from each of the Superior Court’s divisions as well as judges appointed at large. Advisory committees, appointed to address specific sets of court rules (i.e., Criminal Rules Advisory Committee, Probate Rules Advisory Committee, etc.), consist of judges, lawyers who practice in the relevant division or branch, and representatives of the clerk’s offices who advise the committees about legal and operational issues. An attorney from the DC Courts’ Office of General Counsel also works with the Superior Court Rules Committee and its advisory committees.
