About the Superior Court
The Superior Court handles all local trial matters, including civil, criminal, family court, probate, tax, landlord-tenant, small claims, and traffic. The Superior Court is here to serve the community, and several initiatives and collaborative projects are underway to improve service to the public in our Nation's Capital.

Clerk of the Superior Court
The Clerk of the Superior Court manages all non-judicial court employees, the administrative functions, and the day-to-day operations of all divisions under her authority. The divisions under the authority of the Clerk of the Court consist of the Civil Division, Criminal Division, Probate Division, the Domestic Violence Division, Multi-Door Dispute Resolution Division, Special Operations Division, the Family Court, the Crime Victim's Compensation Program, and the Office of the Auditor-Master. The administrative functions of the Clerk of the Court include maintaining and securing all court records and evidence, supervising non-judicial personnel, scheduling cases and preparing daily calendars, assigning courtrooms to judges, managing juror services, managing all case processing, and making the appropriate improvements to maximize the efficiency of all court operations and resources.
